Getting started

Create your first project

Start from a template or an empty board, and get your columns and first tasks in place.

A project in KyroTask is a board with columns, and everything else — tasks, time, files, the client’s view of it — hangs off that. You can start from one of the built-in recipes or from an empty board.

From a template

  1. Open Projects in your workspace and choose New project.
  2. Pick one of the four built-in recipes: client onboarding, a monthly SEO retainer, a website launch, or a content and social campaign.
  3. The template brings its own columns and its recurring tasks, with due dates set relative to the start date (D+3, D+10 and so on) rather than fixed to a calendar.

From an empty board

  1. Choose Start with an empty project and give it a name and a key.
  2. Add columns for the stages your work actually goes through. Rename or reorder them at any time — moving a column does not rewrite your past analytics.
  3. Add tasks straight into a column with the inline + at the top of it; you do not need to open a dialog for a one-line task.
You can turn any project you have into a template of your own from the project’s settings. The free plan keeps 2 templates of your own; the built-in recipes never count against that.
