KyroTask
COMPARISON

An Asana alternative that bills the client at the end of it

Asana coordinates the work. If the work is delivered to a client — with hours, approvals, a portal and an invoice at the end — that whole second half is the part KyroTask ships in the box.

When Asana is the better choice

Asana is a genuinely good product and a bigger one than this. Choose it over KyroTask when:

  • You are coordinating many departments rather than delivering client work — portfolio and goal management is what Asana is built around, and KyroTask has no equivalent.
  • You need a very large catalog of ready-made integrations, or an app your company already standardized on connects to Asana and not to us.
  • You are rolling out to hundreds of people with dedicated admins, procurement and an enterprise agreement. We are a small team; that is a real difference and it is not one you should discover later.

What KyroTask brings

A client is never a seat
Portal users never consume a team seat. You choose task by task what a client sees; internal notes and costs stay behind the wall.
One chain from hour to invoice
A timer, rate cards, project budgets and a cost frozen at close — ending in an invoice the client reads in their own portal.
Built for client work
Versioned proofing, intake forms, scheduled client reports and an approval flow — the product itself, not an add-on.

Frequently asked questions

Can I move my Asana projects across?

There is no one-click Asana importer. You can recreate a structure in seconds from a project template, or push tasks in through the public API with a write-scoped key. For most agencies the practical route is to start the next project in KyroTask and let the old ones finish where they are.

Do my clients need a paid seat?

No. Client portal users are managed through client slots and are never counted as team seats — Pro includes 10 and Business 50.

Is KyroTask as mature as Asana?

No, and we would rather say so. Asana is a much older and much larger product with a bigger integration ecosystem. What KyroTask has is the client-work chain — portal, proofing, billable hours, invoice — as one product rather than four.
