When monday.com is the better choice
monday.com is a strong product with a large ecosystem. Choose it when:
- You want CRM, development tracking and service desk from the same vendor. monday.com sells those as sibling products; KyroTask does not have them.
- You want to build internal no-code apps on top of your boards. That is a real capability of theirs and we have nothing like it.
- Your team responds to a highly visual, color-driven board more than to a dense one. That is a genuine preference, not a feature gap — go with the one your team will actually open.
What KyroTask brings
A client is never a seat
Portal users never consume a team seat. You choose task by task what a client sees; internal notes and costs stay behind the wall.
One chain from hour to invoice
A timer, rate cards, project budgets and a cost frozen at close — ending in an invoice the client reads in their own portal.
Built for client work
Versioned proofing, intake forms, scheduled client reports and an approval flow — the product itself, not an add-on.
Frequently asked questions
How do seats work?
You pay per team member. Client portal users are separate and are never counted as seats, so inviting a client never changes your bill.
Can clients approve work?
Yes. A client can approve or reject a task with a reason from their portal, and an approval is bound to a specific file version rather than to a filename.
Do you have a template marketplace?
No. There are four built-in project recipes and you can save your own projects as templates, but there is no third-party marketplace and no plans for one.
