Getting started
Invite your team and choose roles
How invites work, what each of the four roles can do, and what a manager can and cannot see.
- Open Members in your organization and choose Invite member.
- Enter the email address and pick the role. The invite is emailed as a link that expires when it is used.
- A pending invite can be resent or withdrawn from the same page.
The four roles
- Owner — everything, including billing, deleting the organization and the organization-wide 2FA policy.
- Admin — everything except ownership: members, projects, rate cards, automations, API keys and invoices.
- Manager — projects and the work of the members in their own part of the hierarchy. A manager does not see members in another manager’s subtree.
- Member — their own work, the projects they are on, and the boards their organization shares.
What a manager sees
Visibility follows the hierarchy, not the org chart on paper. A manager sees their own subtree — the people beneath them and the work assigned to those people. Organization-wide task counts on the dashboard are deliberately org-wide; per-person breakdowns are filtered to the people the caller can actually see.
Client portal users are not members and never take a seat. They are invited from Clients, not from here.
